DC Comics Presents (1978)

A vibratory beam from orbit strikes the crash site of a living alien craft in Rosemont, threatening to shake Superman apart. As the beam sweeps over the town, its population begins to be shunted into another dimension, witnessed by The Flash. While the Man of Steel evacuates civilians, the Fastest Man Alive uses his speed to generate a counter-frequency, blocking the destructive energy. Superman traces the beam’s origin to a living warship in Earth’s orbit, discovering its entire structure is composed of organic cells. A second beam captures The Flash in a force bubble, drawing him toward the vessel. Distracted by his ally’s capture, Superman is similarly trapped and both heroes are imprisoned within power-dampening cells aboard the ship.
