Spider-Girl (1998-2006)

In New York City, May "Mayday" Parker grapples with the weight of her inherited abilities. Her research into the legacy of Spider-Man leads to a tense conversation with her father's assistant, Phil Urich, who recounts the tragic origins of the original web-slinger. The past becomes present when her spider-sense activates near a police precinct, prompting her to secretly tail a suspicious man through city streets. Back at school, the pressure mounts as her friend Davida Kirby encourages normalcy, but May struggles with the ethics of using her powers even in a simple basketball game. The conflict between a civilian life and a heroic calling remains unresolved, a constant hum beneath the city's noise.
