The Batman Adventures (1992-1995)

Zamn, I honestly wasn't expecting much from tie-in comics but these stories arguably deserve a spot next to the original show as some of the best Batman stories of all time imo. So much fun, and this truly feels like they could have been a new set of additional BTAS episodes and reminded me why I love that show.
Special mention goes to the Mastermind, Mr. Nice, and Perfesser issues which were just a joy to read. Centering issues around totally original characters was risky but I think this trio is so fun to follow and it's a shame they don't appear in more Batman media outside of this (at least to my knowledge).
I won't spoil it but the final story involving "memories" was imo a perfect encapsulation of the series (even BTAS) as a whole - capable of being charming and feeling Silver-Agey in its sort of one-off adventures (just look at the premise of this "memory" story and how Batman is written within it) yet tragically layered with more to chew on if you dig deeper (Alfred's contemplation in this last story - you'll know it if you read it - just hit me so hard).
I'm reading a lot of different comics at the moment but this is one that was just so comforting to come back to, which I was surprised to find I did a lot and always kept looking forward to. I think it deserves to be one of the top recommendations for Batman readers new and old, and hopefully a comment like this helps urge more people to check it out.
