Nightfall in Alaska brings a different man. Bruce Banner walks the world quietly, a man who can be killed. But when the sun goes down, something else rises from his corpse. This is The Immortal Hulk, a creature of green rage and impossible biology that refuses to stay dead. His nocturnal rampages leave a trail of broken bodies and terrified witnesses, each dawn finding Banner alive again with no memory of the horror. A shadowy network of scientists and soldiers has begun tracking these events, documenting the cycle. The only constant is the coming darkness, and the thing waiting inside it.

Words can’t begin to explain the love I have for this run. This is by far the greatest Hulk story ever brought to life. The grotesque, yet beautifully crafted art, the masterclass writing and story. What more is there to be said that hasn’t been already? Thank you so much for this masterpiece Al.

It's phenomenal, there will be no other comic like it, not a single one. Listen to my warning, cherish immortal hulk, savor immortal hulk because, this is one of the greatest comics ever made.

What can I say about this run that hasn't already been said? Fascinating, grotesque, and beautiful art that leaves readers speechless.

Every detail of the creatures and characters in the story leaves a mark on the reader's mind, touching on the cosmic and brutal horror of seeing these characters transform.

This comic could easily be a David Cronenberg film. I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

I loved all of Alex Ross's covers, but my favorite was issue #41.

"Trauma is the worst monster of all." I love how they highlight each of Bruce Banner's personalities, giving him time to breathe and grow.

If I could choose a song for this run, it would be "The Man Comes Around" by Johnny Cash.

I just started reading this and I’m glad I had this in my collection! The first issue is great and issue 0 is a good starting off point for those who may need a quick backstory refresher on which one the writer is doing.

Genuine masterpiece. This is one of the best comics to have come out in the past decade, one of those stories that you know you're gonna want to pick up and read through again and again to find things you missed the first time around. There's a five-issue mini-series called Gamma Flight that cleans up some loose ends with the side-characters like Rick Jones, too.

Just finished my second reread of this series and man...This was my first ever Hulk comic because Hulk always seemed so boring to me from a character stand point, I couldn't be happier to be proven wrong, I am vaguely aware future runs with Hulk don't follow up too much with Bruce and his alters trying to be cooperative with each other but I hope we can see that return to form soon because this was amazing. I think this alongside The Absolute runs and The Ultimates (2024) were what finally gave me that final push to get more into comics, and I can't thank these amazing writers enough for that.

  You really should check out Peter David and Greg Pak's Hulk runs. They are both absolutely excellent, diving deep into the fractured psyche of Banner and his alternates.
  
  It's clear that Al Ewing had immense respect for ALL the Hulk books that came before him. Immortal is dripping from every page with texture defined by the long history of the book, paying respect to every era that came before it. So if you love it now, you'll love your third reread EVEN MORE if you have more context.
  
  I also wouldn't sleep on some of the great Bill Mantlo Hulk comics of the late Bronze Age. The first "Professor Hulk" story, the introduction of the U-Foes, and VERY importantly: The "Crossroads" story that introduced the idea of Bruce's DID and the trauma he suffered from his father.

it's peak, it's just peak, every issue was good, some more than others, but none of them made any major mistakes or made me as a reader feel lost, seeing all the banner and hulk personas emotional sides made this extra special for me, like colorist Paul Mounts said in the finale "This is so rare"

I reckon it's probably going to be one of Marvel's most influential runs in the coming years, and I sincerely hope so, as they say in the comic book "Keep It Green"

Really a masterpiece, Al Ewing definetly is one of the Best writers i have ever had the pleasure to read, the way he build an entire mithology for the Hulk, every chapter is a masterpiece, and it only gets better when You read it again. Joe Bennet artwork is totally amazing (thats all i'm gonna Say about him).

This was my first time reading a Hulk comic and it did not disappoint! I was worried I wouldn't understand the story due to not knowing Hulk's history, but this is perfect for new readers! Anything I wanted to know more about I could just look up! Loved the mystical aspect introduced into Hulk! It was a very interesting route to take the character! Highly recommend!
