The training in the Batcave is a constant struggle against that deep-seated torment. A new, unknown presence has begun stalking the city's shadows, its focus fixed solely on the young ward. This threat exposes a rare doubt in the Dark Knight: whether his methods can reach Jason Todd before the darkness does. The streets feel colder with every patrol.

this honestly felt like reading a really ooc fanfiction written by an author who asked chatgpt to write the characters for them, this comic is genuinely so hard to read at times. you should skip this one.

like seeing one of my favourite characters (jaybin) get boiled down to some annoying bratty kid with anger issues HURTS because it's sooooo far off, jason loved being robin!! it gave him magic!! he was such a sweet kid, and that was what made his death so tragic. jeff lemire wrote him as if he deserved his death.

the only good points are the art, i love the watercolour it's gorgeous and my new favourite niche is jaybin in the shadows. i swear the art is like the only saving grace for this comic.

also alfred would never say ANY of that, tf???

Not a fan of how Alfred and Jason were written here

The ending feels so sad knowing Jason eventually going to die 😭😭

((Also, if anyone wants to know a good more recent suggestion with Jason as Robin I’d suggest reading Nightwing annual 2021))

the art style isss sooo gooddd and i love how they portrayed jason like that but i really hate how they made him “bratty” but overall, i love it. idk why ppl didnt like this tho lol

The art is more like a storyboard drawings with watercolor painting ( mediocre - medium ). Storyline is immersive and captivating ( good - best ). If I wanted to see storyboard drawings, then I would rather see the behind the story of a movie.

They are not giving us the " real" Jason Todd. Is this an alternate universe? Jason just seems like a spoiled brat,but it just doesn't fit. Artwork is good.

love the watercolor, great touch. but i'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the dialogue but its not as bad as other people here would have you think
