The streets of New York City are a proving ground for the young Peter Parker. As Spider-Man, he contends with a gallery of foes like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, while his personal life is a constant struggle. He navigates love and profound loss, his path defined by a single, heavy lesson. The emergence of newer, more savage threats like Venom and Carnage tests his resolve further. Every swing across the skyline is a reminder of the weight he carries, a responsibility forged in the quiet moments between battles.

Really annoying to have the title image be captain america. Tried to upload a suitable replacement but it wouldn't let me.

I've been reading every Spider-Man issue in the release order since the beginning, and I made a document (completed up until 1996) with every issue and the reading order. If you want some help, feel free to ask.

-the dates are the cover dates and they are in french (it's close enough to english so that you won't be lost)
-the reading order is the usual one, left to right and up to down
-the issues A+number are the annual issues

If you have a note on how to improve it, please share it, I can make (and definitely have made) mistakes :)

Ok, I might be an idiot, but how do you have the release of comics in The Amazing Spider-Man up to October 2028? Am I not looking at it right or something? Or is that just when they will release, not that they already have? (Btw, this is amazing)

Stan Lee (1-113) and Gerry Conway (114-149) are literally must-read runs, Lee provides the foundation and Conway expands on it in the best way possible. Can't believe he was 19 when he took over the title.

I'll give Conway a read, then. No offense to Stan "the man" Lee, but there are times when I feel....sorta burnt out on reading his stories. But, there's also times when it's REALLY interesting to me!! Like, whenever I feel like dropping it or skipping ahead to another writer, there's a story or a plot point that Stan introduces that captivates me, imo.

I think I'll keep on Stan's run for now until whenever. 😅(currently on issue 67)

Unfortunately I think you're gonna need to just power through, if you want to enjoy it fully. Conway's run truly shines when you read it after Stan Lee. If you feel burnt out - read something you like? Idk, but I'd recommend to finish Lee's run first.

Some of Lee's issues are stinkers. For example I hate issue 100, it was such a drag to get through, even though it was anniversary issue. But when he locks in the story is really good. He's a good writer, if a bit too verbose at times (but i think it was a problem with every comic book writer of that time).
But Conway just delivers more believable characters, his stories are great and last but not least Ross Andru is just really really good. He has some bad stories (mindworm, for one) but I still like his run very much. Also he gave us a lot of good Peter MJ moments, and for that I'm eternally grateful.

I think I just have a love/hate relationship with Lee's writing at times. 😅 But I'll definitely try to power through!!! Especially since George Stacy is now in the story, and I'm fascinated by his interactions with both Peter and Robbie so far!

Spider-Man starts after Amazing Spider-Man 336, and Sensational Spider-Man starts after Amazing Spider-Man 406 with an issue 0 (making the issue 1 follow Amazing 407)

Also, there are other comics you might need to read, such as Spider-Man Unlimited or the Scarlet-Spider comics.
