A vessel from the heavens has fallen into the forests of El, its arrival fracturing the peace between the rival kingdoms of Gotham and Metropolis. The survivors of this crash, a man and a boy, are taken in by King Thomas and Queen Martha, their presence a closely guarded secret. As political tensions escalate into open war, ancient prophecies are invoked and loyalties are tested. The royal houses maneuver their knights and mages, while whispers spread of a power that could shatter thrones. Armies now gather at the borders, steel glinting under a red sun.

Art is great
The story though..... Really knew how to ragebait a person
Loved the medieval dynamic though.
There are a lot of things that could have gone better (i.e Why would Hippolyta go straight to stabbing Kal-El when he just asked to see her?)

This is genuinely such a pleasure to read. Would be an amazing animated show. I love the subversion of expectations with the characters. We are seeing the iconic DC characters we now and love so the comic play on our expectations and genuinely takes you by suprise.

I saw a video recommending this comic, and I was not expecting such a masterpiece. It was 12 amazing comics is now my favorite comic without a doubt.

I started reading this after I saw some youtube shorts, but this was really disappointing.
I think the best parts of this series is the setting and the art style. Execution of the setting and story else was very poor. I found the enormous amount of liberal/contemporary morality in a medieval setting to be especially jarring and immersion-breaking.
