The familiar halls of Titans Tower are quiet, its residents finally home. The Titans are together again, but the silence between them is heavy. A shared victory has left them with a shared unease. Each member watches the others, searching for a sign that something is wrong. The question hangs in the air, unspoken: who exactly came back from that last mission? If they cannot trust the faces around them, then their own memories and motives are also suspect. The foundation of the team has become its greatest unknown.

What's great is that Koriand'r leaves I mean I feel bad for Dick that his girlfriend is gone but she needs to find her path after all that's what being a Titan is all about even though the Titans are still trying they are amazing.

Static is Baaaacckk!!!!. I waited so long for DC to bring him back. THis is awesome. And this "New Titans" run is great. Can't wait for issue 38!!!!!!!!!
And I don't know what is going on with SuperBoy Or SuperMan or Jon Kent, so confused Right Now...

Eddie's characterization is kinda turning me off. Also disliked the flashback of his time as a Teen Titan because he never interacted with Bart or Kon, the latter was dead while the former was aged up.

  I chalk that up to a consolidating of continuity or making it clear for folks that that was a Teen Titans team, but yeah, I get it.
  
  I take greater issue with them making out like his Aunt wasn't one of the lights in his life while she was around. "Aunt put me to work" is not the best one-line description of their relationship.

Speaking as a huge fan of Eddie, as much as I'm put off by this cynical attitude, #37 at least helps to put it more in context.

This is the same Eddie we know and love, but further down the line of his story. Issue literally shows him having his "heart" taken from him - it leaves room for an arc later on where he regains that, opens back up, gets a bit of himself back. I'm in for the ride, just happy to see him as part of a main cast again, and so far it's a pretty good one!

  You're right. It does give a new perspective, but unfortunately it falls short because of the poor writing (so far) and characterization despite everything. Eddie HAS been through a lot. It makes sense he'd change. Kudos to him for writing that. This is lowkey one of the best issues so far.
  
  But the writing has him as this cynical bad boy archetype just to ship him with Jon, instead of having Eddie be angry and miserable as anyone would be. I don't feel for Eddie. It doesn't feel like the same character but with trauma. It reads more like a watered down Disney villain.

Eddie is written so out of character. It's one thing to develop his personality and another to write whatever this garbage is. I'd excuse it if the writing were good but I'm not a fan so far.

I really hate this weird dude bro characterization for Eddie, he is a Titan of renown and deserves better than being in this squad of losers and rejects. I also can’t wait for Eva to turn out to be Indigo 2.0

    Yeah, across several sites :/
    I ended up buying Superman Unlimited #14 but I'm still trying to decide how I feel about this New Titans series so I'm not going to spend money on it for now. I'd still like to read the latest issue though.

As a starfire fan, I really hope this characterisation is satire and meant to poke fun. I do not like the direction with night wing and Kori, but im still hoping it’s going to be good! Hopefully they let Raven shine

Thank God for a NEW direction.
The first issue with the Time Loop, poor writing and repeated storyline was SURGICAL, really.

I'm so excited to see what Tate Trombal cooks with his New Titans!

    I know lmao, that's why I said it was surgical writing, it satirizes the awful repetitive writing the last 2 Titans run - and other of the last 15 years - had.
    
    Choosing to start this new run by criticizing the others and then going in a fully new direction IS a new direction. The book is literally called NEW Titans, and now the team have 5 new members and 4 old members left.

      Oh sorry, I'm spanish, english is not my first language, I mean, I think I talk/write english pretty well, but I didn't understand nor know the meaning of surgical on this context, I obviously understood the intention of the writers, but I misinterpreted your comment, sorry and thanks again for your explanation of surgical on this context

        you're welcome! haha English is also not my first language,,, I'm brazilian. Surgical is very used in portuguese to talk about something made meticulously well. To be honest I don't even know if they also use this word for that in english, I just used it cuz I'm used to using it in portuguese.

Interesting picks for the new roster. Personally, I feel like other characters would have made more sense but it seems repeating the past is something they are actively trying to avoid. Hopefully, this book is a banger regardless. Finally, Red Devil is back no way!!!!
