John Constantine: Hellblazer

The rain-slicked streets of London are darker than John Constantine remembers. A minor gang lord, out of his depth, is paying for a simple exorcism. The job is a lie. The haunting is a symptom of something far larger, a spreading supernatural rot with a deliberate architect. With no resources and fewer friends, Constantine takes the money and the unwanted assistance of the gangster's own foot soldier. They follow the stench of magic into corners of the city that have festered in his absence. The true scale of the design becomes clear only as its first terrible strokes are completed.
