Fables (2002-)

Once upon a time, there was a great comic called Fables.

Since childhood, my dad told me how much he loved the Fables story, its creativity, and the exploration and growth of its characters.

It was always a comic I put aside or postponed reading because it wasn't something that particularly appealed to me, so one day I gave it a chance.

I must admit that I loved the story. There are parts that could have been better or given more time to breathe, like the relationship between Snow and Bigby in the first few issues, but overall, I'm satisfied.

From volume 1 to volume 11, I have to say it's a perfect 5/5 for me, with each issue and each character contributing something special to the story.

Charming was my MVP. I started out hating him or expecting him to be a jerk or a hateful character, and well, if you've read the story up to volume 11, you know what happens...

Not to mention the Boy Blue arc and his great backstory; every character had something special that made me want to know more about them with each passing issue.

But after the main arc, from volume 12 to 22, I have to say that for me, there was a decline in the story and the themes it explored.

Even so, after reading all the volumes, Fables will remain with me as a great and creative story. Even after finishing it, I still think about its characters and the extra stories that could have been.
