The Silver City remains a silent, gilded cage for its celestial inhabitants. Lucifer Morningstar, having abandoned his throne in Hell, now operates from his Los Angeles piano bar, Lux. His singular project is the creation of a new, independent cosmos, a task that draws the attention of ancient pantheons and rogue angels. The Host of Heaven watches his progress with a mixture of fury and fear, while demons and mortal souls become pawns in the resulting celestial machinations. The air in Lux is thick with cigarette smoke and the scent of spilled bourbon, a stark contrast to the sterile light of the divine realms.
