Nightwing 80-Page Giant (2000-)

A man in a wheelchair is left chained in the center of a Bludhaven street. Nightwing arrives too late to prevent his death, which is finalized by a masked woman with a gun. The victim is identified as former commissioner Leonard Holcomb, marked with the number 1049. As Nightwing and Oracle trace the pattern, the killer strikes again. Frankie Deever, son of the notorious Lunchmeat Deever, is found branded and killed by a ferry. A third victim, a retired police chief, meets a similar fate in a car sent over a bridge. The city’s corrupt past is being systematically erased, one branded body at a time.
