A new energy signature, unknown yet familiar to Galactus, has been detected. The cosmic entity dispatches his herald, the Silver Surfer, to its source coordinates to investigate. This disturbance coincides with the abduction of a Metropolis nurse, Henrietta Rose, by grey-skinned extraterrestrials. As the Surfer navigates the void toward this anomaly, the two seemingly disparate events begin to converge. The mystery draws the former Norrin Radd into a confrontation that challenges his understanding of universal order and his role as a scout for a world-devourer.
