From this terror, a legend was forged: a warrior who learned to channel the very energy binding the two realms. He became a cosmic dark knight, an Immortal Batman. For a time, he waged a solitary war to keep humanity safe. Then, he abandoned the front lines. He did not vanish. Now, whispers say he stalks a new rogues gallery, monstrous entities born not from the void, but from the shadows themselves. His hunt is silent, personal, and far from over.

Pretty good.
Could've done with more chapters, though.
The whole premise of Bruce's shadows we're not fleshed out enough.

I really like how they include main characters like hush (thomas) and how Bruce goes undercover as Matches Malone just like he does in actual Batman.

I wanted to like this, I really did. I love Kyle Higgins and almost all of his work, but I just could not get into this. Hopefully issue two does something interesting.

Exactly as I suspected, a cheap effort trying to ca$h in on the rising popularity of the tokusatsus that has nothing of the tokusatsus in it (I've finished watching one yesterday after watching other three, just for information). Not one bit. Particularly, it's TOO DAMN WORDY to have something of the tokusatsus in it. It's more like the terrible impression of the Sentais of Naoko Takeuchi in the unreadable Sailor Moon manga than an homage to the tokus. Try harder next time.
