V for Vendetta (1988-1989)

A totalitarian regime known as Norsefire governs a shattered England. The populace endures a life of enforced silence and constant surveillance. From the city's forgotten corners, a masked figure called V emerges, systematically dismantling the state's apparatus of control. His theatrical acts of sabotage and assassination target key figures within the Fingermen and the secret police. A young woman named Evey Hammond, rescued from state enforcers, becomes entangled in his crusade. The decaying architecture of London serves as both his stage and his arsenal, its shadows concealing the next explosive act of defiance.
