The Hypertrain to Houston promised a quiet exit. For Jesse McCree, the former Blackwatch operative, it was a chance to disappear. The rhythm of the rails was a temporary reprieve from his self-appointed duties. But anonymity is a fragile commodity for a man with his reputation. His presence on board did not go unnoticed. The journey quickly became a confrontation, forcing McCree to once again enforce his own personal code. The climate-controlled carriage filled with the scent of ozone and cordite. Outside the window, the irradiated badlands of the American Southwest blurred past.
