Bucky Barnes and Black Widow are assembling a response in a safehouse. Their target is a cell of demented Illuminati duplicates, whose power mirrors the originals. The only assets capable of matching such a threat are five specific individuals: Carnage, The Hulk, Namor, Clea, and Wolverine. Each is a force of nature, defined by isolation and volatility. The tactical challenge is not the mission itself, but the act of containment. Managing this collection of killers and monarchs in close quarters creates a secondary front. Every strategy session is conducted under the silent tension of mutual distrust. The air in the room smells of ozone and old blood.
