After his initial encounter with the X-Men, Fabio was recruited by Cyclops to join a new team of mutants. His journey with the X-Men included being whisked away to Limbo, facing off against the villain Dormammu, and dealing with the challenges that come with being a mutant in a world that often fears them. Despite moments of fear and uncertainty, Fabio eventually embraced his identity, dedicating himself to training and the mission of the team.

Fabio's path took a significant turn when the New Xavier School was disbanded. Instead of joining the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, Fabio and his fellow mutants formed their own unaffiliated superhero team.
